COURSE DESCRIPTION
"Consent & Confidentiality in Adolescent Health Care" has been designed with the goal to develop, maintain and increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of pediatric healthcare providers by providing them with the highest quality, most relevant and accessible educational experience possible.  An e-learning educational format will be utilized.  You should participate in this activity if you are a healthcare provider who serves adolescents: primary care pediatrician, family physician, pediatric subspecialist, hospital and/or university faculty, resident, medical student or nurse practitioner.

ACTIVITY LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

Learning Need:  After each annual meeting, attendees complete an evaluation form.  Following the meeting, the CME committee review the evaluations which include questions on suggested topics for further education.  Particular attention is paid to local health issues for which CME has been requested.  The Arizona Collaborative for Adolescent Health (AzCAH), a program of the American Academy of Pediatrics Arizona Chapter, completed a pediatric healthcare provider survey to determine the needs of adolescent healthcare providers around access to information and their interest in having online health education available. Arizona healthcare professionals indicated lack of knowledge around serving adolescents including consent and confidentiality around caring for this age group and how to easily use a health risk appraisal in an office visit
